When I finally finished the video, I asked some people to look at it for me. I asked them to give me critiques on things I could fix. The first person told me the music was too low. The second told me that one of the clips was too fast. So when I had time to go back and edit I took their critiques. I turned the music volume up and fixed the clip that was too fast. I found that the person was right. The clip was fast compared to the other ones. I didn't want to make it look like it was slowmo so I went back throught the clips i took for that scenes. I found a better option for that clip and switched them out. I I edited the clip back in the video. I had to make sure the clips were seamless and good together. I watched the video over again and liked it a lot more. I decided to show another person to see a new opinion on the video and they liked it. They told me that at the end of the video, the scene shouldn't fade out and I agreed. I went back to my computer and started to edit

Editing Blog

Editing Blog When I finished filming, I started editing. First, I made sure all the clips we took were in the order they were made to be in. I cut out the clips I wasn't planning on using and put the ones I wanted to use in the order they were meant to be. Then I trimmed all of the clips to make them the length I wanted them to be. The first draft of the ad was made on my phone. When I got home so I could actually edit the ad, I imported the video from my phone to my computer. This is where the actual editing process began. I went through every clip to edit them individually. Each clip was watched multiple times to see if there was anything misplaced or shaky. Once that was done, I fixed up whatever was wrong or could be better. I wanted each clip to be good and edited well. When I finished editing each clip, I put them all together and added background music. The music I added was upbeat to make the ad more exciting and fun. Since the ad is on paddleboards, I wanted the music to

Filming Blog

Filming Blog I haven't started filming yet because of my schedule and also my uncle's schedule. Since I'm using his house to film, I have to wait till this weekend to be able to start filming. I've also been very busy with debate and school. This weekend though, I will be filming the whole commercial and editing it as well. Debate takes up most of my time and I barely have my schedule open on the weekends too. Finding a day when my uncle is home and not busy is hard enough alone. But also finding a day when I am available is even harder. Since my friends need to come over as well to be able to film and be my actors it is hard to find a day they're available too. I had to find a day when everyone had the time to come and make sure my commercial is great and not just good and the bare minimum. I want my commercial to be great and show that a lot of effort was put into it so the planning process is a lot. Another factor is where my uncle lives. My uncle lives 40 minute

Story Board Blog

First Scene -  - During the first scene, I will film the actors in the hot tub. They are bored and don't know what to do.  Second Scene -  - In this scene, the actors will be looking around to find something to do and then they come across a paddle board. The location of this scene is next to the hot tub. This will be a medium-angle shot. Third Scene -  - In the third scene, I wanted to show the paddleboards physically being used. In this shot, the actors are getting onto the paddle boards. This will be a wide-angle shot. The location for this shot is on a dock leading to the intercoastal.  Fourth Scene -  - The fourth scene shows the 2 actors actually on the paddle boards. This is also a wide-angle shot. The location for this shot is in the intercoastal.  Fifth Scene -  - The fifth scene is a shot with different actors having fun as well. The paddle boards are clearly shown as well. This is a wide-angle shot. The location is still the intercoastal.  Sixth Scene -  - The sixth sce

Planning Blog

Planning Blog Props: Since I chose to produce a paddleboard commercial, the main prop is a paddleboard. Other props I will use will be paddles. Costumes: In the commercial, the costumes will be either outdoor clothes or bathing suits. If I choose bathing suits, the actors will be in one piece bathing suits and swimming shorts. If I choose outdoor clothes, the actors will be wearing swim shirts and shorts.  Schedule: On 10/1/22, I will research conventions and codes of paddleboard commercials On 10/2/22, I will establish props, costumes, a location to shoot, and a backup plan. On 10/3/22, I will create the storyboard for the 30 seconds. On 10/5/22, I will film and gather the necessary parts for the commercial. On 10/6/22, I will edit and add the final touches to the commercial.  Location List: The location set for the commercial is the intercoastal. The intercoastal will be the main place where the paddle boars will be used. It is the best place for wide shots and also the best place f
