Final Music Video

Image
We finished our video finally! I hope you guys enjoy it. We worked really hard and put a lot of effort into this while also having so much fun. I'm so happy with how the video turned out and the partner I chose to do it with. This project was such a fun experience. I can't wait for the next one!

Editing: Production Blog

Welcome back again! Santa and I finally got all of our shots!! Santa came over to my house to finish the last of the shots I needed. I had my Dad help us record around the house. He held the camera for us while Santa and I did our shots. I made sure again that he took the shots multiple times to insure the best shot. I  only had a couple left to do so I got them done pretty quickly. After Santa and I finished all the shots needed to edit together, I decided to continue editing the shots. With the shots just taken, I edited just like the rest. I made sure to cut them down to the length they needed to be so they would fit in the video. Then I checked the clip with the music to make sure it lined up. I finally had all the clips I needed to make the final video. I opened up my computer and I got to work. In the editing software I used, I inserted all the clips into the places they needed to be. I added the song and edited the clips to make sure they lined up again. I made sure to watch the

I Got Sick: Production Blog

Welcome back! Unfortunately, I got sick when Santa and I were supposed to get together to record. I felt horrible and could barely get out of bed. There was no way I could get to Santa's house or for us to record more clips. So I had to compromise. Santa and I FaceTimed for a while to figure out how I was going to continue our project. I came up with editing the clips Santa and I already had. Santa shared his screen on FaceTime and I looked through the clips already taken. I looked for the ones I was going to use out of the multiple shots I took for each scene. I told him where to cut them down to make sure they would fit into the music video. I made sure all the clips matched up where they needed to go with the song. This took a while. Once Santa and I were halfway done, both of us decided to take a break. I was feeling a little bit better so Santa and I decided to play Overwatch for a while. I played a couple games until I knew I had to continue our music video. I found that one

Debate: Production Blog

Image
Welcome back to another blog! Santa and I had a big debate tournament to go to this week. This tournament took up the whole day. I had multiple rounds to go to. Each round was more tiring than the next but I still had so much fun. When the competition was over, there was the award ceremony. Santa and his partner placed in public forum! They did amazing. Our other teammates placed too. I was super proud of them all. After the tournament, my teammates and I all decided to go to Santa's house to hang out. I went to his community pool and hung out for a while. Santa and I were there for about an hour when Santa's father got pizza. All of us ate the pizza and went to the park next to the pool. Our group hung out there again for a while and did relay races. The race was girls vs boys and the girls won! After that, went back to Santa's house and chilled for a while. I took cool pictures with the trophies and realized this was the perfect opportunity to get some shots. Santa and I

Santa's House: Production Blog

Hi, welcome back! I went to Santa's house this week to record. Santa lives super close to me so it's easy to get to his house. He also has a community pool which was great because Santa and I hung out in the pool after recording. Santa also has a cute little dog named Dexter. He is a small little dog that loves running around you. He loves getting in your way and tripping you as well. I learned that the hard way. He didn't like me at first but after a while, he got used to me. Santa also has a cute cat named Mushi. Mushi is super afraid of me but I think after a while of me being there he got more comfortable. Anyways, at Santa's house, I recorded more shots. I recorded the shot where I walked out the door. Basically, all I had to do was hold up a peace sign and walk out a door. What an interesting shot! I also shot a couple more with the Nerf gun. Santa loves shooting me with the Nerf gun for some reason. But it's okay because I get to use the water gun on him. Sad

Continuing the Recording: Production Blog

My group and I haven't been able to record in a while. But this weekend, I finally got together with him! This weekend I got a couple more shots. I didn't have much time again though. Santa came to my house and I had one of my neighbors come over. She helped us record so Santa and I could both be in the shot. I made sure she was recording horizontally instead of vertically. After that, I had her record our shot. I had her record it a couple times to insure she got the best shot. Santa and I got distracted and decided just to hang out for a little while. After maybe an hour, I continued recording. I had to record a clip where I fell on the ground. That shot hurt a bit. Santa made me reshoot this shot a couple times till the fall looked realistic. I think this was more just him wanting to make me fall more because it was funny to him. After I did the fall shot, Santa and I moved on to the shot where I was snitching. I recorded this one before but I wanted to redo it since I didn&

Recording - Production Blog

Production Blog  Santa and I started recording on November 21st as scheduled. I started getting to work on the shots in the studio. These shots were needed for the first shot and last shot of the music video. I cleaned up the studio where their shots were going to be taken and my group and I got to work. I had the camera person position themselves in front of the door for the shot. I put the headphones on to make myself look like I'm listening to the beat of the song and about to rap. After the first shot, my group recorded the same shot a couple more times. This was to insure that the perfect shot was taken for the video. Unfortunately, my group and I only had a small amount of time to record. I got 2 scenes recorded and perfected for the video. My group and I also recorded more shots at Dania Pointe. The shot where I snitch on Santa was taken under the stairs at a bowling alley. I forgot the water gun at home, so instead my group decided to go to 5 and Below. I couldn't find
