 Research: Commercial Conventions and Codes For my commercial, I decided to advertise paddleboards. In these commercials, the audience usually sees groups of people using the paddleboard and having a good time.  - They usually wear bathing suits and shorts or wetsuits as costumes. In some shots, there are multiple people wearing a simple shirt with shorts and a fanny pack.  - The props include the paddle board and the paddle.  - The actors in the ads appear fit and active. They look wet because of the water and like they're having fun.  - The scenes are mostly birds-eye view shots from above to show the actors paddling in the water and the scenery. They are slow shots to show the scenery. 1. Conventions and Codes in paddle board commercials include the logo of the brand and also their slogan.  2.  For this project, I chose the respectable decision to do it myself. This is because I live far away from school and I am super busy with debate. Debate takes up much of my time. This is because of all the competitions and all the time I have to prepare for everything I do in debate. Also since I am on the varsity team, I will be traveling a lot for debate. This means I wouldn't have opportunities to get together with the people who would be in my group.  I don't want to mess up anyone's schedule because mine is all over the place. So I'm choosing to do the project by myself. I also wouldn't be able to get together with anyone. This is also because I don't live near anyone or the school. It is also easier for me to be able to do the project at my own pace and on my own time.  Hi, my name is Lauren Reitman. My favorite thing in school is debate. I love the performing aspect of debate where you can compete with random people to earn a medal. In my opinion, everyone should be in debate to experience how fun it actually can be when you find the right topic. I'm a sophomore and I spend most of my time with friends doing fun things outside of school. My life is mostly based on school and debate. School takes up most of my time since I'm in high school. But besides school, I spend my time playing video games and listening to music. My life is a little bit chaotic. There's never a time in my life when things are stable. I am always running around or doing something. But when I finally settle down something new pops up. Most of it is good though. Soon I'm going to join volleyball so that will take up a lot of my time as well. I'm hoping I can get good at volleyball and be able to win many games.
