When I finished filming, I started editing. First, I made sure all the clips we took were in the order they were made to be in. I cut out the clips I wasn't planning on using and put the ones I wanted to use in the order they were meant to be. Then I trimmed all of the clips to make them the length I wanted them to be. The first draft of the ad was made on my phone. When I got home so I could actually edit the ad, I imported the video from my phone to my computer. This is where the actual editing process began. I went through every clip to edit them individually. Each clip was watched multiple times to see if there was anything misplaced or shaky. Once that was done, I fixed up whatever was wrong or could be better. I wanted each clip to be good and edited well. When I finished editing each clip, I put them all together and added background music. The music I added was upbeat to make the ad more exciting and fun. Since the ad is on paddleboards, I wanted the music to be fun instead of something monotone to show in the ad that paddleboards are meant to be used to have fun. I added a filter to the video to make the video more vibrant. I also made sure in every clip that the paddleboard is the main subject shown. I didn't want the ad to look too choppy so I added transitions between clips. This also made the ad look more fun. Adding the transitions made the ad more fast-paced looking. Once I was done with all of that, the ad was completed.
